Create production materials (P4: U3, M3: U3)

LO 3: Be able to create production materials for an original media product to a client brief (P4: U3, M3: U3)

In the images above you can see me taking some pictures using my iPhone as well as taking a few pictures with a camera. I did this to compare the quality of the pictures to get the best outcome possible for my magazine. I also did this to familiarise myself with the equipment such as the tripod and specifically how to attach the camera and my phone to it due to it being a complicated process and all that had to be done before the big shoot so there would not be any problems during the shoot so we can go there, do the shoot and leave with no problems.

Double page spread -
As you can see this is the final double page spread that i created for the magazine, this double page spread features an article about the very popular London venue KOKO. In the middle you can see the photograph i chose to use from my photoshoot for this double page spread.

As you can see, these are all the photographs from my shoot at KOKO that i took into consideration to use in the magazine front cover and the double page spread. You may also be able to see three images of a person, this is because i was considering for the front cover to have an image of a grime artist however i decided against that and went for an image of KOKO for the front cover as well so it relates to the double page spread.  I chose the images that i did because i felt like they where the perfect fit, as well as having the perfect lighting. The images that i chose where also great because they matched the colour scheme of the magazine pretty well.

  • Font cover
As you can see here we have my final front cover. The cover features another image of the front of the popular KOKO venue which features on the double page spread. The front cover also features the eye catching masthead that relates back to the theme of the magazine which is grime. The front cover also features previews for other articles within the magazine such as the exclusive interview with MC Cohen.

  • The list of assets that i will be using for my final products is this -
  • Masthead font - Airlock
  • Body copy font - Ariel
  • Double page spread image -

  • Front cover image -

  • Call sheet  -
The call sheet is the document that allowed me to plan ahead a whole day of production, in order to stay organised> details that are included in the call sheet vary, they include the times such as when the set up begins, when break is and when the day on set ends. The call sheet also includes information such as the weather on that day and important contact details of photographers and others.
