M4: Demonstrate the exported media product meets the client brief

Image
The client brief that we received had asked us to come up with an idea for a North London magazine based on a specific music Genre that is popular within the area. We decided to bring a new and upcoming genre into light, Grime. This most definitely complied with the clients brief which asked for a North London based genre because Grime has originated in the UK and is now very popular in North London. We also made all aspects of the magazine suit the target audience that the clients brief had planned out for us which was people between the ages of 15-20. To make our product more suitable for that age we did things such as make the magazine available through our website which our audience can gain access to on their mobile phones. We also made sure that the magazine is affordable for these younger people who may not have a proper income. We made sure that the magazine was put into JPEG format that way it opens up correctly on any platform or device.  The front cover that we have c...

Meeting the client brief (M4: U3, D1:U3)

I mainly used dark coloured text to fit in with the pictures due to the magazine being a grime magazine. The dark colour as well as dark text helped me create meaning throughout the magazine as it matched the type of scenery and type of feel that grime portrays. My two favourite effects that i used where the bullet holes in the header and also the compass symbol in the middle of the header with only the 'N' visible to clearly indicate that this magazine is about the North of London. Create production materials (P4: U3, M3: U3)

LO 3: Be able to create production materials for an original media product to a client brief (P4: U3, M3: U3) In the images above you can see me taking some pictures using my iPhone as well as taking a few pictures with a camera. I did this to compare the quality of the pictures to get the best outcome possible for my magazine. I also did this to familiarise myself with the equipment such as the tripod and specifically how to attach the camera and my phone to it due to it being a complicated process and all that had to be done before the big shoot so there would not be any problems during the shoot so we can go there, do the shoot and leave with no problems.  Double page spread -  As you can see this is the final double page spread that i created for the magazine, this double page spread features an article about the very popular London venue KOKO. In the middle you can see the photograph i chose to use from my photoshoot for this double page spread. ...

Post-production techniques and processes (P5: U3)

A review of the suitability My media product meets the client brief, they asked me to create a magazine that had to do with the music industry in North London. I chose the genre of grime due to its growing popularity not only in North London but all over the world with artists such as Stormzy gaining global recognition from the public and even celebrities such as Adele. I also chose this genre because my favourite genre of music is Rap/Trap which without that grime would have not gotten to where it is now and for that reason i also get alot of inspiration from rap magazines and put that into my grime magazine. I did not need to ask permission from anyone to do my photoshoot due to the pictures not being of a person but of the KOKO venue. That was however my second plan so there was a lot of time wasted trying to find other places for a photoshoot that after all did not take place. After picking out the suitable picture for my front cover i needed to add some codes and ...

Plan and develop pre-production materials (P3: U3, M2: U3)

Below are my pre-production materials that are consistent with industry standards. The production materials that we decided to create are suitable for the production of our product. They will help us stay organised and on track, as well as them assisting us in making some hard decisions on choices we had such as the font. The strength of the location rec. that we put together is that we were able to compare the locations in order to decide which one would be the most appropriate for us to get pictures at.  The weakness of the location rec. is that there are no other details when evaluating the location such as risks that we could be faced with. This is why we also decided to create a risk assessment sheet. The strength of this is that we were able to predict and prepare for any hazard that would come our way or the public’s way.  The weakness of the risk assessment sheet is that we would ahem to make separate ones for each location in order to compare which location has the...
