Plan and develop pre-production materials (P3: U3, M2: U3)
Below are my pre-production materials that are consistent with industry standards.

This form is what gave me the permission to legally take pictures of the KOKO venue for my double page spread. It also gave me the right to use the contents i got from that location for whatever purpose such as promotional or educational. In order for the permission to be granted i must give this document to the owner of KOKO who will then be required to fill in the document with my name and sign it.
Detailed sketched layouts
Magazine front cover
These finalised and detailed sketched layouts will help me as i will have something to work with when creating the finalised products. It also helps me because it allows me to see what the finalised products would look like before i put the final product together. It allows me to change and move things around if i don't like how something looks.
This Gantt chart will act as my pre-production schedule, here i have planned out all the tasks that i need to undertake as well as how long i have for each task to be complete. This will help me in staying organised and sticking to the time frame that i have been given.
The production materials that we decided to create are suitable for the production of our product. They will help us stay organised and on track, as well as them assisting us in making some hard decisions on choices we had such as the font. The strength of the location rec. that we put together is that we were able to compare the locations in order to decide which one would be the most appropriate for us to get pictures at. The weakness of the location rec. is that there are no other details when evaluating the location such as risks that we could be faced with. This is why we also decided to create a risk assessment sheet. The strength of this is that we were able to predict and prepare for any hazard that would come our way or the public’s way. The weakness of the risk assessment sheet is that we would ahem to make separate ones for each location in order to compare which location has the least risk hazards. The call sheets strength is that we were able to plan out the whole day therefor we would never be standing around not knowing what to do, as well as every person involved receiving one which makes it much easier than explaining the day individually and face to face. The weakness of the call sheet is that each sheet is for one day alone, so new ones have to be created for each day. Lastly the mood boards strength is that it can help us come up with new ideas for the magazine however it is not in much detail which leaves a lot to the imagination.
- Mood board
I put this mood board together in order to give us inspiration as to who should feature in the magazine as well as even what type of imagery we should include in the magazine due to inspiration from all the album covers. We can also gain a sense of what colours or popular within the genre and what type of vibe the genre has.
- Risk assessment

- Location recce
The location recce allows me to compare several locations at once in order to make a decision on which one i should use for my images. The location recce helps because it allows me to add a few details about each location along with an image of it which helps me way up the pros and cons of each location.

- Location release form

In order for the permission to be granted i must give this document to the owner of KOKO who will then be required to fill in the document with my name and sign it.
- Actor permission form
This was a document that every person within the photoshoot or my magazine cover had to sign in order for me to have permission to use the content i got of them. This also states that they will not be compensated from this project and that they are aware of this.
- Colour scheme
- Call Sheet
Call sheets are given to every staff member that needs to be on the set the next day, it gives them a summery of the day, including what time they need to be there, what time lunch is and what time they finish. The call sheet also includes information such as what the weather is predicted to be like on that day.
- Legal & Ethical issues and resolutions
- Fonts
We used a special font off photoshop named ‘AIRLOCK’. The font creates that tape looking background, which represents police tape which relates to the world that grime goes hand in hand with. We also added some bullet shots in the background of the title to add some detail, we used this image from the internet
Body Copy: Arial
From my reseach, this font is the most popular as it is incredibly easy to read. So this font will be used across my double page spread for the body copy.
Cover Lines: Phosphate

This is a simple font with a nice touch of a white line in the middle of each letter. It goes well with the masthead font and the style fits well with the genre.
